InnoSportNL
InnoSportNL is one of the founder partners of EPSI. InnoSportNL was founded by TNO and the Dutch Olympic Committee NOC*NSF in 2006 and is supported by the Ministry for Public Health, Welfare and Sport. Its mission is to actively promote innovation in the field of sport and its positive impact on major societal challenges such as public health.
InnoSportNL sets itself apart from the general innovations occurring in sport by taking the demands and needs of sport itself as its starting point. The fact that it has the office at the National Sport centre Papendal in Arnhem further reinforces this approach. Thanks to the unique combination of sport, trade & industry and knowledge institutes, it is able to translate knowledge and expertise from various sources into new methods and systems, innovative products and services and, in some cases, even into new activities. InnoSportNL uses this approach to achieve the following goals:

- Sport: To improve (sporting) performance and thus contribute to the Netherlands’ ambition to be among the top ten countries in the world for (top)sport. To promote healthy participation in sports. And to help ensure that more people start to participate in sport more safely and with fewer injuries.
- Trade and industry: To achieve economic growth by developing new business within existing companies and/or creating new activities.
- Knowledge: To structurally reinforce the Dutch knowledge infrastructure for the benefit of sport and improved economic growth.
The projects are oriented around the following program lines:

- health and talent development
- performance measurement and sports information systems
- sports facilities and sports stimulation
- sports products
Besides that InnoSportNL creates also so-called InnoSportLabs, Innovation labs within top sport facilities. At present 5 labs are running:

- Swimming in the Tongelreep, Eindhoven
- Speed skating in Thialf, Heerenveen
- Gymnastics in the Flik-Flak hall in Den Bosch
- Sailing in the harbour of Scheveningen, Den Haag
- Sport stimulation in Eindhoven
At this moment InnoSportNL carried/carries out about 50 projects, with a total turnover of about 15 M€, with a partnership of about 25 sports organisations, 25 knowledge centres and 75 companies.
