Multiverse Computing, official sponsor of EPSI, has reached a major milestone, securing a €500 million investment round that values the Spanish deep-tech company at approximately €1.5 billion. The investment represents the largest private-capital investment round ever closed in Spain, according to the company, and places Multiverse Computing among Europe’s newest technology unicorns.

Multiverse Computing: advancing AI and quantum computing

Founded in 2019 and headquartered in San Sebastián, Multiverse Computing develops advanced technologies at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, quantum computing and optimisation.

The company is addressing one of the key challenges facing the AI industry: the rapidly increasing computational cost of training and running increasingly powerful AI models. Its flagship technology, CompactifAI, is now being scaled across multiple industries, with applications spanning energy, automotive, manufacturing and finance. Multiverse Computing already works with major companies including Repsol, Iberdrola, Cepsa, Navantia, Bosch and Renault, as well as major financial institutions. The new investment will primarily support the further development and expansion of CompactifAI and the company’s international growth.

A major milestone for European deep tech

Multiverse Computing’s growth highlights the increasing importance of European deep-tech innovation, particularly in strategic technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, quantum computing and optimisation. The company has reported significant commercial growth, with annualised revenues reaching approximately €120 million.

EPSI and the next generation of European innovation

At EPSI, we are particularly proud to have Multiverse Computing as our sponsor. Although this investment round is the result of Multiverse Computing’s own technological and commercial growth, its success reflects the type of innovative, ambitious and forward-looking companies that EPSI wants to bring together within the European sports innovation ecosystem.

From Artificial Intelligence and quantum computing to sustainability and industrial transformation, Multiverse Computing demonstrates how cutting-edge technology can move from research and development into real-world applications. Having a company of this calibre among our sponsors strengthens EPSI’s vision of building a dynamic European innovation ecosystem, connecting organisations working at the forefront of technology, business and societal impact.
