ANCI Piemonte is the regional section of the National Association of Italian Municipalities. ANCI Piemonte associates nearly 80% (around 950) of all the Municipalities of the Region, the Province of Biella and the Metropolitan City of Torino. The Association represents the rights of local authorities, promoting and supporting many initiatives. The Association carries on its mission thanks to 16 thematic commissions.
Tasks of the Association include: support, legal and scientific advice to associates; training for local administrators and public employees; representation of common interests of local authorities towards the regional and national government; implementation of common local development projects; support for local and national access to funding.
The Association works actively to increase access to EU funding to the benefit of its territory, promoting the participation to projects and EU initiatives.
ANCI Piemonte plays also a crucial role, in particular by providing guidance and training to policy makers.
