E.S.E., ENTE SPORTIVO SOCIALE EUROPEO, is a free Association with unlimited duration and which is non-profit making, constituted in the form of an ASSOCIATIVE NETWORK, as provided for and regulated by art. 41 and related of Legislative Decree 2 July 2017 no. 117, known as the Third Sector Code, with the aim of representing the values and instances of third-sector entities operating in the field of sports promotion (ASD and SSD), social (APS), tourism (APST), volunteering (OdV), vocational training, cultural and environmental promotion, civil protection and associations in general (ETS).
E.S.S.E., also by means of information tools suitable to guarantee awareness and transparency in favour of the public and its associates, carries out activities of coordination, protection, representation, promotion or support of its associates and their activities of general interest, also with the aim of promoting and increasing their representativeness at institutional bodies.
E.S.E. is the first multi-sector ASSOCIATIVE NETWORK set up in Italy to be ready for the official launch of the Single National Register of the Third Sector, pursuant to Legislative Decree 117/2017.
E.S.E. is divided into seven Sectors, each of which is intended to aggregate Associations with a specific characteristic:
- SPORT, for A.S.D. and S.S.D.;
- PARASPORTIVE, for A.S.D.s and S.S.D.s that promote sport for the disabled;
- VOLUNTEERING, for Voluntary Organisations;
- SOCIAL PROMOTION, for Associations of Social Promotion;
- TOURISM, for Associations of Tourism Promotion;
- ENVIRONMENT, for Environmental and Animal Associations:
- STUDIES and PROFESSIONAL TRAINING CENTRES for Professional Training Associations;
- THIRD SECTOR ENTITIES, for all other ETS Associations not included in the above, such as Environmental, Cultural, Civil Protection Associations, etc.
Associations that become affiliated with E.S.E. are associated with the reference Sector and directly obtain recognition as a Third Sector Organisation, whether it is a Social Promotion Organisation, a Voluntary Organisation, or another Third Sector Organisation.
