Background

The IGOID Group is a consolidated research group of the University of Castilla-La Mancha, founded in 2008 and directed by Leonor Gallardo. Its headquarters is the Sports Management laboratory, which also includes the Sports Surfaces Research Pilot Plant. It covers the entire field of R+D+i, including research, transfer, innovation and training in different areas related to Sports Sciences, especially in the following areas:
  • Sports Surfaces
  • Analysis in Sport
  • Sports Facilities
  • Sports Promotion
It has UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation as a testing laboratory (no. 923/LE1842) for artificial turf sports surfaces. It is also accredited by FIFA, WORLD RUGBY FIH and FIBA.
