The University of Debrecen, Institute for Sports Sciences, is an integrative unit of the mega organization, integrating all knowledge fields and ensuring the infrastructural and service conditions for sports activities. Established in 2015, the Institute for Sports Sciences adapted a mission to coordinate all activities related to organized and mass sports, promoting the sports related knowledge at faculties of thematically related sciences, fostering ooperation in research and the development of intra- and inter-organizational connections in the field. The institute participates in the operation of a sport health diagnostic and rehabilitation system. It has also elaborated a working protocol with the Faculties of Economics, of Medical Sciences Physiotherapist, nutrition/dietetics) and of Law (sports law). The Univ. of Debrecen has experience in IE projects such as BID-REX (bio-diversity), STRING (Innovative Food Clusters), and 3Smart (Smart Building – Smart Grid – Smart City). University also participates in Healthy Campus Programme by FISU.
