Sportinnovator is the sports innovation network of the Netherlands. Our mission: to stimulate and apply innovations for a lifetime of fun sports and sports activities. The Sportinnovator ecosystem consists of Sportinnovator centres, sports institutions, businesses, knowledge institutions and municipalities. They work together on groundbreaking innovations. Sportinnovator also supports innovations that contribute to improving performance in top-level sports and to making sports and sports facilities more sustainable.
Since 2015, Sportinnovator has assessed over 1,000 innovative ideas and more than 300 initiatives have received financial support and advice.
The main objective is to accelerate innovations and help them find their way to the market and ensure that they are actually applied in practice.
We believe in collaboration and co-creation. From an independent management role, we bring together all parties that are needed to bring about these innovations.
In doing so, we seek to connect with national initiatives such as the Sports Agreement II and MOOI in Beweging by ZonMw. In order to utilise the international opportunities, we are a partner of the public-private platform SportsNL and the European Platform for Sport Innovation. Together, we increase the impact of sports innovation.
